The dumbwaiter lifts are built at our Halesowen factory in accordance with current UK and European directives and standards. We use a unique modular structure which enables us to fully build and test the lift prior to delivery reducing onsite quality issues and enabling installation to be carried out with the minimum of disruption. A 2-3 stop lift can often be installed in 3-4 hours!

The bi-parting landing doors have a 4 hour fire rating certificate. Lifts can be supplied to operate off single or three phase motors.

We offer optional extras such as a fire-rated machine access door, an additional landing entrance, a heated car floor, an extra car shelf, and even aluminium or stainless steel roller shutters to enhance your dumbwaiter.

As a UK manufacturer we are able to offer a wide range of lifts with different car size and weight capacity as standard, standard options will also include lifts with doors to front only or with side and through entrances.

The lift shaft is normally provided and finished by the builder or contractor, however to complement specific interior design or finishes we can supply and install facias or complete surrounds in coloured steel or clear/tinted glass.

So you’ve made the decision to install a modern dumbwaiter lift. Excellent decision! But how do we get from decision to implementation? Let’s dissect it.
First and foremost, you’ll need a team of professional lift engineers on the job, which is what we provide! Installing a lift into a standard blockwork or studwork shaft typically takes 1 to 2 days on site.
We’ll conduct a thorough lift survey before we begin the installation. This allows us to better understand what is required and to identify any potential roadblocks. This allows us to ensure that your lift installation goes as smoothly as possible.
After we complete our survey, we will provide you with a builders work document. This instructs your builder or carpenter on everything they need to know in order to prepare the proper space for the dumbwaiter installation.
Our lift engineers get to work once everything is in place. We like to arrive early to assess the site and agree on the best installation procedure. Then it’s time to install your dumbwaiter.
Once the lift is installed, it is up to your builder or carpenter to clad or box in the lift. The material is up to you, but it’s usually plasterboard.
We return to the site after the cladding to power up the dumbwaiter lift and configure the stopping levels and other settings. We typically prefer a 3-phase power supply over a 1-phase power supply to ensure that your lift runs smoothly.
Finally, we sign the lift commission documents and your new dumbwaiter lift is operational!
